70 Volt Distributed P.A. System Rentals

70 volt distributed systems are used in large outdoor venues where general purpose paging and medium quality music is required.  70 volt systems do not require large wire gauges and are capable of power large numbers of speakers over long distances such as race tracks and large outdoor events.  DRD Audio custom designs its rental systems according to the application.  Wireless systems are also available where laying out long wire runs is not an option.

Some of the recurring projects DRD A/V provides 70 volt distributed P.A. systems for in Northern Maine are harness racing, snowmobile racing and truck pulls. Also providing sound system and paging rentals to the Northern Maine Fair, Presque Isle; Houlton Fair, and Maine Potato Blossom Festival, Fort Fairfield.

Atlas DR-72

The U.S-made Atlas DR-72 horn with Atlas PD60T driver is the workhorse of DRD Audio's 70 Volt distributed system.  At full rated power, a DR-72 can project up to 1/4 mile over flat terrain.  Smaller horn projector sizes are available and used where suitable.

Stacked Arrays

DRD Audio is capable of placing stacked horn arrays in a 70 volt system in temporary locations where either no telephone poles or structures are available, or none can be placed.

Amplifiers for our 70 volt systems are available in power ranges from 300 watts to 2,000 watts and are sized according to the job specifications.

Portable Sound Trailer

DRD Audio can provide a portable sound trailer for use at a lake, or on an open field.  The self-contained unit will feature a full complement of audio processing, mixing and amplification gear to suit the application.
